The Village Animal Clinic has been caring for Voorheesville pets and their families since 2010, offering personalized care for every patient. Our veterinarians have a combined 40+ years of experience treating exotic pets. We are proud to be the predominant exotic practice in the Capital Region and your pet's health and comfort are our highest priorities.

Dr. Rynkiewicz, a summa cum laude graduate of RIT and Tufts DVM, returned to upstate NY with special interests in exotic companion animal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and spectrum of care.

Dr. Jacob is a 2023 Virginia Tech DVM graduate and former Licensed Veterinary Technician with a lifelong passion for animals, specializing in exotic and avian medicine.

Dr. Ron Scharf, a 1985 Cornell DVM graduate, practiced for 27 years after training in veterinary acupuncture and homeopathy, and now enjoys working part-time with dogs and cats while pursuing exotic animal experience.

Dr. Halligan, a Cornell DVM graduate who attended Union College with highest honors, joined The Village Animal Clinic in 2021, bringing a lifelong familiarity with various animals and a love for hiking, camping, tennis, and volleyball.

Dr. Coulter, a Capital Region native who completed her DVM at Ross University and clinical training at Cornell, is a compassionate veterinarian who champions animal welfare, preventive medicine, and enjoys camping and horseback riding in her free time.

Despite a brief desire to be an astronaut, Dr. Kristen Bevilacqua fulfilled her childhood dream by graduating from Kansas State DVM in 2012, specializing in exotic animal medicine, and she enjoys playing various sports outside of the clinic.
